CLINIC SAFETY & NEW PROCEDURES DURING COVID19

Updated December, 2021

Abigail here. :)

Protecting you is my #1 concern.

Here’s what I’m doing to support a clinic environment that adheres to (and in some instances, exceeds) guidelines from the CDC and local health departments.

Please be aware that masks are still required of patients and staff in all doctors offices in LA County, even though the mask mandate has been lifted for most other indoor and outdoor spaces.

  1. I am fully vaccinated and boostered against Covid19.

  2. I’m the only practitioner in my office; currently there’s no other staff, other than a colleague (midwife) who sublets one day a week, and she is also fully vaccinated.

  3. No one may enter the clinic without an appointment, and everyone must wear a well-fitting mask. (Even if you’ve been fully vaccinated; the “mask optional”

  4. Our unit has a brand new (2020) clinic-wide HEPA & UVC filtration system that creates 12-14 air changes per hour.

  5. Treatment rooms and high-touch surfaces are cleaned frequently.

  6. An awesome janitorial company does thorough cleanings after hours.

  7. Hand sanitizer is available for your use

  8. We offer contactless payment via Square: we accept all credit and debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, ApplePay and GooglePay

  9. Only the person with the appointment should come into our office: no partners, children, siblings. If this poses a problem (i.e. your kid is out of school but will sit quietly with a book/device), we can be flexible! Just let us know. For pediatric appointments, only one parent/guardian per child.

  10. PARKING: Please allow yourself time to find street parking. We do not have a parking garage or lot.

  11. Please arrive right on time. If you arrive early, please in front of our office or in your car. (This is really important.)

  12. I will take your temperature with a digital contactless thermometer as soon as you arrive.

  13. Then you can take a deep breath and we can start your session…before long you’ll be feeling the AcuHigh!

If you have recently tested positive for Covid19 but have completed your 10 day isolation, we require that you provide us with a negative Covid test before you come into our office.

TELEMEDICINE

I am continuing to offer telemedicine/telehealth sessions at a reduced rate. If do not feel you need acupuncture and/or you’re ill, immune compromised, live with someone who is immune compromised and/or you’re staying at home in order to support social distancing BUT but you still want to work with me, telemedicine is the perfect option. I offer Traditional Chinese Medicine consultation, herbal medicine, nutritional consultation, fertility coaching, pregnancy support, and a lot more. If your last office visit with me was more than six months ago, we will need to do a 15 minute telehealth session in order to catch up ($40). This helps limit the amount of talking in the treatment room, allows us to catch up and see each other without masks, and permits me to check your tongue.

HOME VISITS

Home visits continue to be available by appointment (email frontdesk@floatchinesemedicalarts.com to inquire about availability).
